Use of Funding

​

Eligible musicians can apply for up to $1000 towards undertaking activities limited to professional publicity services by a reputable PR company for the promotion of a future music release. The selection of a reputable PR company and package will be made in conference with and subject to approval by LivewireAU. The chosen PR company will assume all responsibility for provision of services. The chosen PR campaign may exceed the $1000 allowance, however the applicant will need to fund the remaining difference.

Eligibility to apply

To be eligible, you must fit the following criteria:

• You have provided a completed application and bio

• You are an independent/unsigned music artist residing in Australia

• You have only submitted one application per band/project.

Timeline

​

• Applications open 1 September 2025

• Applications close by end of 30 September 2025

• Outcomes will be announced two weeks after applications closing.

• Applicants must have valid ABN

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

• Music must be ready to release within 4 months of acceptance and proposed PR activity must be completed by 1 Feb 2026.

Application assessment

​

Artist will be chosen by an independent panel based on:​

• Prior record of artistic achievement in the contemporary musical arts sector.

• How proposed PR funding will support the applicant’s release outcomes. 

• Strength of the project/release and potential benefit from funding
