It’s that time of the year again. Australia’s biggest music award show has just revealed the nominated artists in each category.
Lime Cordiale lead the ARIA nominations this year with eight nominations after the release of their album 14 Steps To A Better You. Meanwhile, Tame Impala follows closely behind with seven nominations with their huge album The Slow Rush being nominated for both Album Of The Year and Best Rock Album. Sampa The Great joins them with six nominations following the massive success of her 2019 album The Return.
DMA’s and Jessica Mauboy join the three juggernauts in the Album Of The Year conversation while one of 2020’s biggest breakthrough artists Miiesha earned herself five nominations. Some other noteworthy highlights include The Kid LAROI and Mallrat both being nominated for the Breakthrough Artist award presented By PPCA.
The public voted awards will also return this year giving people the chance to vote online for various categories like Best Video, Best Australian Live Act, Song of the Year, Best International Artist and the Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award.
This year, the ARIA Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 25 November and will be broadcast on the Nine Network in Australia as well as on YouTube for the rest of the world to view.
