Down For Tomorrow Impress With New Single And Complimentary B-Side!

Sydney-based indie-punks, Down For Tomorrow are back with their first releases after their explosive EP, ‘Whatever Happens’. With the single, ‘Good Person’, and the coinciding B-side, ‘Full Circle’, the band have created a versatile and dynamic approach to communicating their true selves in new and unforeseen ways, without limiting their sound or style. Showing us all they have to offer, this pair of releases marks an impressive step for the already widely embraced band!

The single, ‘Good Person’, takes a mellow and stripped-back approach that grows into an emotive and capturing song throughout the chorus. Heavy with emotion, the song is commanding and direct in its messages of self-realisation, and the power we hold to shape our own story.

“Good Person’ is about coming to terms with the fact that we are responsible for our own lives. It traverses that understanding that we are a manifestation of our knowledge and experiences, and that life’s content reflects our truest thoughts.” explains frontman Cody Stebbings.

Juxtaposing this track is the B-Side, ‘Full Circle”. True to the sound found within many of the band’s previous releases, we see hammering drums, powerful riffs, and inescapable, anthemic choruses that provide a sense of comfort and assurance. Like a guiding hand, this track delves into the processes of letting go, but also visiting the past to grow, in quite a literal sense, with the band paying homage to their past through the development of their own sound.

’Full Circle’ is a quick return to the feelings that gave life and blood to our earlier offerings. A reminder that it is possible to progress and see improvement by visiting the past from time to time.” notes Cody Stebbings

Both ‘Good Person’ and ‘Full Circle’ are undeniably polished releases that capture a sense of growth in the band. Not only do we see them revisit the past to encourage their own growth, but we are provided a sense of versatility to their sound through the mellowness of tracks like ‘Good Person’. This dual release excites for the many multifaceted projects to come for the band.
