A strand of goodness has leaked out of the 2020 pipes in the form of spiking dance-poppers Haiku Hands’ debut, self-titled album which is out in the world today.

Their debut record is "an opus of discovery" they state. “[Mapping] finding of our sound, our voices and what we wanted to say”, from first sessions of laughter to later sessions of tour exhaustion, where a great deal learning and sense of self was formulated.

Supercharged with powerful production, the album is filled to the brim with certified bangers. With cue card titles like 'Mechanical Animal', 'Manbitch' and 'Fashion Model Art', the record boasts a number of tracks to light up the playlist curator's eyes.

As a whole, the LP explores technological themes, relationships and The Absurd. Telescoping social norms lyrically and visually while revelling in an experimental way, producer Joel Ma describes the dynamism of Haiku Hands’ song trail as a “tropical plumage”, like “releasing a flock of exotic birds in the room”.

Having before roamed the streets with Jap punk-rockers, Chai and rapstress CupcakKe, the washing machine of Haiku Hands as well combines the strengths of various detergents - SOFI TUKKER, Mad Zach, Machine Drum, Mirac, Elgusto of Hermitude and Lewis CanCut.

After dominating the live scene for a few years now, we're so stoked to see the troupe drop their first full length record. Go get your ears around pop hybrid kaleidoscope of Haiku Hands ASAP.
