hat. is the brainchild of Murray Curnow; an artist manager with extensive experience across both the Australian and U.K music industries. He clocked over a decade with London-based agency Wildlife Entertainment, seeing acts like Royal Blood achieve numerous #1-charting albums and overseeing fellow label talent like Artic Monkeys and Kae Tempest.
Curnow is hitting the ground running, already snagging some incredible artists under his hat. There’s stellar W.A. band Dulcie with their divine harmonies and sunshine-y aura, cool cats Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, thriving with new album SHYGA! The Sunshine Mound, and genre-bending solo act People Taking Pictures, side project of Crumpets member Luke Parish. Hat. will also be taking care of new UK artist Lily Denning, a delightful international addition to the roster.
The agency will be based out of London and Western Australia. This was apparently due to Curnow being stuck in Perth during lockdown, in which case, thank you Ms Corona for the happy coincidence. Hat. is an incredibly welcome addition to the west coast music scene, the state absolutely bursting with talent ready to be snaffled up. It’s exciting to imagine the prospects for the acts under management that receives such acclaim:
