Gold Coast natives Ivey have announced their long-awaited next EP titled love + miscellanea which is set to drop next month on Friday, 23 October.
The band also announced a South-East Queensland headline tour with gigs happening in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
Produced by Konstantin Kersting, love + miscellanea is filled with the band’s previous singles including ‘Midnight’, ‘Valentine’, ‘Scream’, ‘Talk Talk’ and ‘Bodies’ as well as a new single titled, ‘I Hate U’ which is also set to release on 23 October.
In terms of the EP, Ivey’s guitarist Lachlan McGuffie shares, “love + miscellanea explores the stages of a romantic relationship. Each song came from a different place in time and from our separate experiences. Once we aligned the songs, we realised that our individual stories were actually piecing together a timeline in which a single relationship begins, flourishes and eventually falls apart.”
The announcement of love + miscellanea is sure to get fans excited after a year of successful singles coming from the band. Having accumulated over 3.5 million streams on Spotify so far, Ivey's next EP is sure to be one to look out for.
