It’s been 18 months since Middle Kids released their 2019 EP New Songs For Old Problems and today, they’re back with a new single ‘R U 4 Me?’.

Catchy with guitar driven melodies, the track is an upbeat reminder of their earlier work and showcases the trio’s talents. Produced by Lars Stalfors, ‘R U 4 Me?’ is a fun track and a great way for Middle Kids to return to the musical landscape.

A music video directed by W.A.M Bleakley also accompanied the track’s release and showcases the song’s message in a charming fashion.

“I was at university once and there were all these signs on the walls saying “BE NICE IT’S NOT THAT HARD”. The tone of the message itself actually wasn’t very nice or kind. We are always looking around at other people thinking “are you on my team?”. I think this just results in us all feeling lonely,” Middle Kids lead singer Hannah Joy says of the track.

‘R U 4 Me?’ follows the band’s 2019 EP New Songs For Old Problems as well as their successful 2018 debut album Lost Friends. If this track is anything to go by, the future for Middle Kids is assured.

Earlier in the week, the band announced a Global Live Streaming Event to be held on Thursday, October 22. Tickets are available here.
