The QLD based acts ready to tear up BIGSOUND 2025 - Part Two!

With just over a week to go until BIGSOUND, we're double checking our schedules to make sure that we can catch as many homegrown talents as possible! Here are some more of the Queensland based acts that are ready to become your next favourites at this year's showcase.



GLVES is a truly phenomenal storyteller, ready to transport audiences through time and culture with her rich lyricism and world building throughout her performances. Fans of a good novel will be in absolute are of GLVES and her truly immersive and impactful music.


You can catch GLVES on Tuesday the 2nd at Brunswick Street Mall (4.30pm, as part of "Blak Loud Showcase") and at The Sound Garden (7pm), and Thursday the 4th at Wonderland Upstairs (9pm).




Dreamy pop darling Hatchie is back to remind Brisbane that she is one of the most magical musicians in our scene. With two albums under her belt, Hatchie's showcase performance is one not to miss this year.


You can catch Hatchie on Thursday the 4th at The Prince Consort Hotel (10pm).




A pop girlie on her way to becoming one of the next big names in the country, Lyric has a loyal fanbase surrounding her coming-of-age anthems and is about to become your new favourite act. With a new EP on the way, it has never been a better time to become a Lyric fan!


You can catch Lyric on Tuesday the 2nd at Brunswick Street Mall Stage (8.30pm) and Thursday the 4th at Wonderland Downstairs (10.30pm)




Get ready to experience the surf-rock soundtrack of your dreams with Mid Drift's showcase performances! The local 5-piece have the tunes to transport you to a golden summer afternoon, ahead of their sophomore EP ready for release this October!


You can catch Mid Drift on Tuesday the 2nd at The Brightside (11.30pm), and Thursday the 4th at Brunswick Street Mall Stage (9.30pm).




Bringing a slice of country music to the big stage is The Wet Whistles! Whether you're more a fan of the tender heartbreak ballads or high energy floor-fillers, The Wet Whistles have the songs and the sound to get you out on that dance floor!


You can catch The Wet Whistles on Wednesday the 3rd at Honky Tonks (7.15pm), and Thursday the 4th at Brunswick Street Mall Stage (7.30pm).




Get ready for pure sonic defiance with the "genre thots" UGLi, who are bringing their blend of hip hop energy and filthy electronic production to the BIGSOUND showcase! A group dedicated to helping out their fellow musos through their label and studio space, get ready to celebrate UGLi and their uniquely unpredictable sound.


You can catch UGLi on Tuesday the 2nd at Blute's (8.15pm), and Thursday the 4th at The Prince Consort Hotel (11pm).
