To say 2022 has been huge for Brisbane rockers Selfish Sons is an understatement. Since we last had a chat to the 3-piece band in October 2020, they've kicked some incredible goals both in Australia and internationally. All whilst keeping that same Brissy charm we know and love.

The latest drop from the band, 'Hear Me Out', is an high-energy ode to spontaneous romance and living in the moment. Transporting you to an unforgettable night out where a romance that seems unfeasible becomes irresistible, 'Hear Me Out' is all about saving the regrets for later. Mixing alt-pop influences from THE 1975 with a perfect dose of heavy-hitting rock, this track is both nostalgic and invigorating.

Yeah, we might hate this

When the sun comes round

But I’m down

If you’re down

"We found ourselves writing about heartbreak too often, so we thought there’s nothing wrong with having a song about getting drunk and making out with someone cool every now and then."

Recently dubbed as a Live Nation 'Ones to Watch' act, it was only a matter of time until Brisbane's best kept secret got let loose. The future has never looked more exciting for these boys, with Selfish Sons recently signing with US agent Mike G at United Talent Agency. Mike G represents major artists like The Kid Laroi, Demi Lovato, Lil Wayne, Wiz Kid and many more.

“ Selfish sons are a band I’m excited about working with. I see massive potential to be one of the biggest global live acts that can tour the world. Their music has a crossover appeal that can work worldwide,” Mike shared.

Off the back of their sophomore EP Second Hand Emotion in March, Selfish Sons had Aussie fans impatiently awaiting some of their iconic live shows. The band did not disappoint, setting out on an Australian tour in August and performing slots at Bigsound in September. Just when you thought they couldn't get any busier, Selfish Sons are soon to depart on an Australian and New Zealand Tour with American pop-rock duo The Driver Era (Yes, the one with Ross Lynch). When asked about the upcoming tour, the band shared they're most excited for "Couch hopping, aeroplane food and everyone’s beautiful faces. We’ve also heard that Ross’s dance moves are unmatched." We can't wait!
