Electro-pop duo, Lastlings have spent the last two months in the States scaling their sound to the stages of Coachella. As they return home, siblings Amy and Josh Dowdle dropped their single ‘I’ve Got You’ and it has got us hooked.
‘I’ve Got You’ is a song that was made to experience live. Bass-heavy rhythm drives this evolved edm number with deep, vibrating synth carrying Amy’s always angelic vocals. We have it on repeat.
The single exhibits a new level of maturity with Lastling’s most polished sound yet. Josh said in a recent interview, ‘I think what we're really excited about is pushing a different sound.’ And it shows. A quick throwback to the duo’s first single ‘Verona’ from late 2015 will give you a glimpse into the evolution of Lastlings.
Having signed to Rose Avenue Records, Rufus Du Sol’s record label in late 2018, the future is looking promising for these two young Aussies. Catch Lastlings and their contagious sound on the Urges tour this June.
