Sydney's Redhook are no strangers to punchy and deliciously intrusive singles, with their latest track is proving to be the newest earworm to the collection. Through Redhook’s fresh and exciting sound, ‘Bad Decisions’ delivers a healthy dose of self-realisation lathered in the markings of a catchy tune; a twisted and unsuspecting method of self-reflection.
Emmy Mack of Redhook describes 'Bad Decisions' as a “self-loathing anthem”, which on paper, comes as the most accurate description of such a song. However, it's through the lyrics that Redhook extends this sense of ‘self’ into a greater reflection of the listener. We sure as hell shuddered hearing “My younger self would be mortified // 'Cause Captain Planet told me to say no”.
“‘Bad Decisions' is me reflecting from rock bottom… It's me laughing at myself and, I guess, trying to take something positive away from all it all. Hopefully, someone else out there can relate," Mack explains
Aided by quality hooks, energetic guitar, and an anthemic chorus, ‘Bad Decisions’ perhaps becomes the one self-assessment we owe ourselves.

The release of ‘Bad Decisions’ unveiled the arrival of Rehook’s debut EP, also titled ‘Bad Decisions’. With its release expected on the 23rd of April, and with it being home to some crowd favourites- such as ‘Cure 4 Psycho’ and ‘Bad Decisions’, this EP is set to be Redhook’s biggest release yet! The ample hype has culminated in a headline tour, taking place around the country. Redhook hopes to not only bring back some normality, revisiting their heavy touring schedule prior to COVID, but aims to introduce many audiences to the realm of ‘Bad Decisions’, an EP that is sure to define the band’s next steps.
