LivewireAU Six Pack: Embracing The Journey (And The Drama)

Golden Retriever – Grace Luisa

Our teen movie dream comes to life with the sing-along new single 'Golden Retriever' from Gold Coast based Grace Luisa. Marking her entry into a poppier soundscape, Grace Luisa shares the thrill of meeting the one, even if they're not quite who you (or your friends) would've expected. 'Golden Retriever' fully embodies the giddy diary entry after a first-date, and is best enjoyed whilst kicking your feet and stalking your crush's socials.

Be The Diva – aleksiah

Kaurna Land's (Adelaide) short but fiery burst of unabashed popstar energy aleksiah is back with a reminder of your self-worth in her bright and hooky new single, 'Be The Diva'. Embodying more theatrical energy than ever before, a punchy chorus blends the charm of a compliment from a stranger with the motivation of a morning affirmation to create the ultimate soundtrack to your get-ready-with-me montage. This confidence boost of a pop anthem comes with the release of aleksiah's third EP, Good On Paper, accompanying previous singles 'Faker' and 'Punch Drunk Love', and proving that the resurgence of Australian pop is imminent.

Don't Think Too Much – kayls

Indie pop darling kayls grabs you by the shoulders and shakes you out of your loved-up delusions with their new single, 'Don't Think Too Much'. Acting as a sequel to their debut single 'I Wanna Die', kayls ruminates on a love that was never returned with confessional lyricism and the titular reminder that sobers the dream.

You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me – Alex Lahey ft. Tegan and Sara

It may be a decade now since we first wanted to drink cleanskin wine and watch Mulholland Drive with the original release of Alex Lahey's 'You Don't Think You Like People Like Me', but it still holds up. In a 'Reunion' re-record with queer musical icons Tegan and Sara, Lahey reimagines the track for a new age, complete with fresh mature vocals whilst still retaining the punchiness we all love. This release is the first taste of the reimagined B-Grade University Reunion Edition, for release July 17th, featuring another collaboration re-recording of 'Let's Go Out' with Aussie favourites Slowly Slowly.

A Vow - Anna Jeavons

A poignant reminder of the intricacies of human connection, Kaurna Land's (Adelaide) Anna Jeavons reflects on the relationships surrounding her on her song 'The Vow'. The sonic equivalent of watching the suburbs obscure together with blurry eyes from the passenger seat as you pass through your hometown for the last time in a long time, 'The Vow' comes from Jeavons' decade-in-the-making album Anomie.

Coming Up From Hell - Teenage Joans

Australia's favourite pop-punk duo Teenage Joans are diving headfirst into a new musical chapter with their new single, 'Coming Up From Hell'. A cheeky commentary on their journey as artists in the tumultuous modern world, Teenage Joans demonstrate their maturity as musicians with a strong focus on their instrumentation as they venture outside of their comfort zone.
